Player Trials

Peninsula Power Women’s NPL Trial Guidelines for Selection for Season 2017

Trial Dates- Saturday October 22nd, Sunday October 23rd, Saturday October 29th, Sunday October 30th, 2016.

 

Trial Times- U/13 (Girls turning 12 and 13 in 2017) and U/15 (Girls turning 14 and 15 in 2017): 1:30pm-3:pm

Youth/Senior Women (Players turning 16 and older in 2017): 4pm-5:30pm

 

Venue- Dalton Park, Maine Road, Clontarf

Trial process- All age groups will take part in 4 sessions for trials. Sessions will be a combination of training practices, small sided games and full training games. This will allow our selection panel, comprised of all Peninsula Power NPL coach’s, Technical Director and Women’s Chairperson, to make selections based on all aspects of the player’s attributes. Attributes to be considered will include, but not be restricted to, coachability, personality, skill level (considering the four core skills), game awareness, desire, attitude, work ethic, and love for the game.

Squad Numbers- It is our intention to select 16 squad members plus 4 shadow players for both the U/13 and U/15 age groups. It is our intention to select between 18-20 squad members for our Youth/Senior Women team. Players will be notified of the results of selection within one week of trial completion.
