Affiliation fees

Fees charged to us per player by Football Federation Australia, Football Queensland and Football Brisbane. As an example for cost , in 2018 an U12 Div 5 player pays $75 Affiliation fees and an U8 player paid $63.50.  


This fee covers an amount equal to approximately ¼ of a playing shirt. This allows us to amass money for replacement of these shirts in about 4 years time. This decision was made in an effort to reduce fees. Club shirts can be bought from the uniform shop if you would like to own a Power shirt.

Coaching Fees

This can be broken down into Development programs for coaches including license assistance, cost of the Head Coaching director, coaching Consultant (who assists the DOC with specific training needs and backing up coaches when unavailable etc) goal keeper coaches and the divisional Directors of coaching. These amounts differ for each division dependant upon what services are made available to them. For BYPL this will also include team coach fees.

Participation Fee - includes the below fees, Membership, Capital Works and Facility Fee

Club Membership (per family)

Monies from Club Membership go towards costs of running the club such as Club affiliation fees as paid to FB etc, accountant’s fees including audit, bank fees, license fees, legal fees and stationary.

Capital Works Fee (per family)

This money is collected to go towards building improvements at the club. Grants usually pay most of these costs but some “savings” can be required to qualify for these grants. In 2015 new change rooms were unveiled at AJ Kelly Park at a cost of over $100000. At Dalton Park the most recent capital works has been the addition of the equipment shed (Maine Rd end) for the men’s division allowing Juniors the entire space in the Titan shed for equipment and prior to that the extension of the building (creek end) with two new change rooms for visiting teams.

Facility Fee (per player)

This fee is incorporated into the playing fees of the player and varies dependant on the division/age of the player. It covers anything that is required to run either facility (AJ Kelly or Dalton Park). This includes but is not limited to rates, electricity, telephone, water, cleaning,  line marking, repairs and maintenance on buildings and contents, rubbish collection and  security.  It also covers small things like toilet paper, soap, hand towels, ice etc. Small items that are quite often forgotten.

Match Fees

This fee which is paid weekly by teams (except for teams who pay it upfront). This is the money collected to cover all other  expenses for the club. Examples of these items are Equipment, Coaches and managers shirts, small sided games referees incl whistles, hats and bibs, managers bags, managers and coaches keys, fines, sign on costs , stationary. Any money left over at the end of the season is put towards End of Year celebrations.   

End of Year Celebrations

Presentation Day expenses such as rides, food and drinks. All trophies and awards plus team photos are also included in this part of the fees as are VIP expenses such as food platters and drinks.

Get Started Voucher

This voucher is a Government initiative designed to help young people participate in sport. The voucher is for the amount of $150 and is released throughout the year normally in January and then later in the year. Numbers are limited so get in quick. See for more information.
