Peninsula Power are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a $170,000 grant under the state government’s new Female Facilities Program, to upgrade changing rooms and referee rooms at Dalton Park Clontarf.

Member for Redcliffe Yvette DAth announced the grant during junior games being played at Dalton Park. Under the state government’s new Female Facilities Program, the funding will be used to construct new changing rooms and referees rooms to increase participation at the facility that also boasts three competition playing fields.

The inclusive facilities will greatly assist the club to meet the current and future needs of local female footballers, continuing the extensive work over many years to actively promote women’s football.

Club President Craig Feuerriegel said “These upgraded dressing rooms will help boost the women’s game in our community which continues to grow each year. “The Female Facilities Program is all about meeting the current and future needs of women and girls to encourage them to get out and get active.” “The Peninsula has a proud history of producing some of Australia’s best female footballers, including Matilda’s Kate Mc Shea, and Larissa Crummer

Peninsula Power is proud to announce that we have been granted a SAP licence for 2018.

What is SAP?

The SAP Program is part of the Football Federation Australia's Ecosystem. It's objective is to provide a quality training and games environment for players that want more than just participation.

Due to the geographical size of QLD, it is impossible to provide a full-time league across the state for Junior players. Therefore, the structure of competition will be based on a South-East QLD games model, with part-time country clubs being given an opportunity to attend SAP carnivals when possible.

Peninsula Power has number of SAP qualified coaches who will conduct the training and we are now accepting registrations to trial.

Get On board as New Major Partner signs-on

Redcliffe, Brisbane, Queensland - MY NEXT LOAN and Peninsula Power FC today announced a major partnership between the two Redcliffe based organisations that will see the finance company provide the club with a 25 seater bus and become a Platinum Sponsor.
Peninsula Power President, Craig Feuerriegel, was understandably delighted with the announcement amidst what is a very successful period for the club on and off the pitch.
“This exciting new Major Partnership with MY NEXT LOAN is unlike any other across Football in Queensland, that’s how big this is. Not only does it bring significant long term benefits to the club but to all players, members, and families associated with Power.” Mr. Feuerriegel said.
Mr. Feuerriegel also stated the importance of aligning the club with a good “corporate citizen” and MY NEXT LOAN was a great fit for the burgeoning sporting club and its members.
“One thing I and many others know about Matthew is that he is not only a lifelong football supporter, but he is also genuinely passionate about helping people and the community. Essentially, we know that he operates his business with the same high standards and values as we do at Power and this can only enhance our reputation further.” Mr. Feuerriegel said.
MY NEXT LOAN Managing Director Matthew Beswick, will be familiar to many Redcliffe locals from his years working on the Peninsula as a well-regarded Bank Manager and more recent founder of the ‘MY NEXT’ Group, which also consists of innovative automotive business MY NEXT CAR.
Matthew, whose son Will is a junior player at Power, said the decision to significantly invest in the club was not only a commercial one but a decision to support the local community as well.
“As Craig mentions, football has always played a major part in my life. It’s also fundamental to my company that we not only offer a leading customer finance experience, but that we also support the local football and greater Redcliffe communities that I am equally as passionate about.”
Showcasing the sponsorship is the ”‘MY NEXT LOAN Supporter’s Bus” which will be on display in Dolphin Stadium at Peninsula Power’s massive FFA Cup match against reigning Champions Melbourne City, led by Tim Cahill on August 1st .

The bus will then be officially presented to the club at A J Kelly Park on August 5th when Power take on the Brisbane Roar, who yesterday announced that former Italian International striker and new marquee signing Massimo Maccarone would make his debut in the game.
Mr. Feuerriegel said that the MY NEXT LOAN bus was something for ‘the people’ and the club’s way of giving back to its members.
“We have very special supporters at Power and thanks to them we are regarded as one of the most highly supported clubs in Queensland Football. MY NEXT LOAN have also committed exclusive finance products and services, such as the “Power home loan” and “Power car loan” which will help our members and families save time and money.”
